Today began the Cast Member previews at Walt Disney World, and quite a few changes have been made for the safety of park goers. Social distancing markers are in place on the ground on the way up to the monorail. Each monorail section only allows for one group or family, with a divider in between. Temperature checks are also in place at the entry points.
There are also new park maps with the current safety rules for easy reference.
The park itself isn’t crowded. Low wait times for attractions. The enhanced color on Cinderella Castle looks beautiful! Announcements are being made about wearing masks. Cast Members at Pirates of the Caribbean are wearing face masks AND face shields, boats for the Jungle Cruise have plexiglass for distancing. The Haunted Mansion stretching room isn’t being used currently either, guests are taken right to the load area. Certain characters are appearing atop the train station as some extra magic. The Tomorrowland Terrace is being used as a relaxation station (no masks) and tables are staggered and chairs removed so you can’t sit there. Also, Tink appeared on her float to welcome people!
Everything at Magic Kingdom is running smoothly and people are happy to be back “home” as it was surely missed. So far so good! We will be doing live feeds from Magic Kingdom on Thursday so stay tuned for more updates!
